Moein laalkhou, who works as a singer and composer under the stage name "Arsam", is a graduate of the Tehran Conservatory and has numerous pieces in his artistic portfolio. He has been introducing himself to the music community by presenting works since 2003. Although at that time, the extent of social networks and download sites was not as wide as it is today, the audience, given their interest in music, maintained communication channels with the artists and the pieces presented were heard, and his works were among the pieces that were met with success. Since 2007, with the start of the activity of some music-specific sites, his activities as an arranger and singer have also taken a more serious form, and in the same year, by presenting 4 acceptable pieces, he was able to attract the attention of listeners to his works. A year later, while signing a contract with a music company, he entered the process of producing a licensed album, but the obstacles that arose meant that it took two years to obtain the license, and due to the contract with the aforementioned company, he was not allowed to perform any work, which caused him to move away from the singing scene after presenting several successful works. Finally, this album was released with a delay of nearly two years due to the companies' compulsion to release albums, and the album was released with personal funds without any return. Since 1990, with a change in the trend in decision-making, he has been seriously pursuing the art of music, and by launching Fanous Studio, he has taken effective steps forward not only in the field of singing but also in the field of composing and arranging. He, who has experience in performing at numerous conferences and private performances, pointed out that he tries to keep himself up to date with the professional conditions of music, and in response to the question of when an artist begins to decline and repeat himself, he said: "It depends on the individual. Sometimes, wrong views and thoughts, and even absurd self-beliefs, cause us to conjure up an image of ourselves in our minds that is far from reality, but this is what makes us step away from the competition. In my opinion, underperformance is only related to an artist himself and only he pays for it, and this causes us to expire because we do not dare to change and choose a new path. Of course, this does not include artists who remain silent for a while and give themselves another chance to have a more successful return to the peak, but the truth is that time does not wait for us and people also have short-term memories. So if we want to have our own audience throughout our career, we must consider the right direction for ourselves, not only for art, but also for our way of thinking about our existence and talent. He added: "My opinion is that when an artist reaches the peak, from that time on, he must personally take care of this position and know what kind of behavior to avoid or what works to publish in order to remain lasting. Unfortunately, many people think that considering the success they have achieved, if they are away from the scene for a long time, nothing will happen and the society is still thirsty to hear their works, but this is not the truth, especially in domestic music, where every day we witness a multitude of works presented and new voices and pieces, some of which are really good and acceptable." Continuing this conversation, Arsam emphasized that he has always promoted singing and composing in line with each other and that although many people know him as an arranger rather than a singer, he has not neglected this profession, which is his personal interest, and explained: "In my opinion, all composers practice singing more than composing music, because we have to sing on every piece we compose and the singer has to practice on our voice, so we all pursue singing seriously. Singing is an important part of music for me, and engaging in it makes me believe in my own abilities and express my feelings the way I like. It also makes me update myself with people's interests in performances, considering the reaction I see from them. So I have serious plans in this area for this year, and perhaps the strongest step is to perform a concert." Regarding the changing tastes of the audience, he said: "At any given time, tastes change, and sometimes the artists themselves cause them to arise, and sometimes it is the listeners who, considering a specific style, cause most of the works produced at a certain point to be placed in a specific space. Currently, people like two styles more; pieces that the so-called traditional singer sings and presents a fusion piece by using music with different spaces, or pieces that are completely Western. These two styles are currently the focus of the audience and they like them."
